Full slides, bios and related documents from the North American Refugee Health Conference are now available here. The 2015 Conference will be held from June 4 – 6, 2015 in Toronto.

Additionally, the NARHC Committee is undertaking a survey to determine interest in the formation of a National Society of Refugee Healthcare Providers. You can contribute to the survey here.

The University of Texas has published a report titled The Continuity of Risk: A three-city study of Congolese women-at-risk resettled in the U.S. Find the full text here.

Best Practices

New Resources for Deaf or Hard of Hearing Refugees: DeafCAN! has the resources to do outreach, provide ASL classes, and assist with hearing aid applications for your patients with hearing loss. Please refer eligible clients to Jarett Beaudoin at jbeaudoin@nscphila.org. Additionally, check out this short report on hearing loss and the Hear Now Hearing Aid program published by NSC and the Jefferson Center for Refugee Health.
