Our Fairmount Primary Care Center provides serves both the African-American and Latino communities, and is the site where our Refugee Health Program is housed. Our Latino patients are a mix of Puertoricans who have been established in the city for two generations or more, and recent immigrants from the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America.

DVCH is also a training site for family practice residents. In all sites we provide on-site interpreters or language line interpretation, when appropriate.
The DVCH Refugee Health Program began in the fall of 2009, working with the Nationalities Service Center. Since then, we have provided health care services to approximately 170 refugees who are Burmese (and speak Burmese, Keren and Chin), Arabic-speaking Iraqis and Bhutanese Nepali refugees.
