Study Title: Health Access and Perceptions of Newly Arrived Refugees in Philadelphia
Study Aims: This study, undertaken by the Philadelphia Refugee Health Collaborative, gives an opportunity to newly arrived refugees to share their experiences with the health care system through interviews. The major themes that emerged include: access to care, refugee health orientation, resettlement agency support, health care utilization, and health clinic support. This project was funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Office of Health Equity’s Refugee Health Program.
Study Methods: Qualitative study. Interviews with 83 participants
