New PA State Refugee Health Coordinator

Our new State Refugee Health Coordinator started in November and has been busy at work. Here is his bio and contact information and we look forward to welcoming him at upcoming PRHC meetings and events!

Jun came to Pennsylvania as the Refugee Health Coordinator from Virginia. Before joining Pennsylvania Department of Health, Jun worked as an Epidemiology Program Manager at Virginia Department of Health. His public health experiences include outbreak investigation and control, risk assessment, infection control, influenza surveillance, syndromic surveillance, drug overdose, bioterrorism, public health emergency preparedness and response, population survey and community assessment, and disease surveillance. Before moving to public health, Jun was an epidemiology researcher in cancer prevention and control and health behavior at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Jun holds a PhD degree in Epidemiology and Community Health from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and an MS degree in Epidemiology and a medical degree from China.
