Especially for children (birth to 18) who don’t have any health insurance or don’t have vision coverage. Children from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties are welcome to join us with a parent or guardian.
Volunteers are also needed for Give Kids Sight Day. You do not need medical training for many of our volunteer needs.

Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity’s Parental Engagement Initiative seeking parents and caregivers
The focus group will take no more than 2 hours to complete. Participants will be asked to give their feedback and opinions on a campaign designed to raise awareness of the importance of high quality early childhood education across Philadelphia. All participants will receive $70 cash as compensation for their time and input.

Certified Community Health Worker Program
This fall, Jefferson is initiating a certified Community Health Worker training program in its Institute for Emerging Health Professions. This program is part time and uses a career ladder approach to the training. Tuition assistance may be available in certain circumstances.
